Sant'Orsola Pizzeria has hands down the best pizza I've ever tasted... in my life!
From the dough to the toppings, every bite tasted magical. The dough was crusty on the outside (and under the slices), fluffy and light on the inside, and stayed moist even as the pizza cooled down.
Unlike Neapolitan pizzerias I've been to in the USA, the sheer size of the pizzas and amount of toppings here were very generous. There was so much cheese! I got the namesake pizza Sant'Orsola, which came with mozzarella di bufala, ricotta, speck, and peperoncino. It was amazing.
Their menu is very extensive, with usual selections like Margherita, 4 Formaggi, Diavola, etc... in the €8-10 range, and a large selection of specialty pizzas in the lower €10s. These very large individual pizzas can feed 2 people or one very hungry pizza lover like me... and even then, I had to take half of my pizza home.
This is definitely a must-try in the lovely city of Bergamo.
